Homilies on the Gospels I

Worshiped as saint of the Church on the 25th of May, Venerable Bead remains in the history as one of the most erudite men of his time, offering to the medieval Europe an air of intellectual freshness and to the Church the idea of continuity of the Fathers before him. His life, work and theology are part of the gallery of portraits of important teachers of the Church. He became, even if outside the last patristic period, a veritable Holy Father of the venerable Latin patristic Occident.
